In 1976 Michèle Mouton was an Alpine driver who was beginning to make a name for herself. She began her fourth season of rallying with the iconic Monte Carlo. It was her first participation in this event, and she finished in a very good eleventh place behind some of the big names in rallying at the time, such as Munari, Waldegard, Darniche, Röhrl, Alen and Frequelin! A star was born!
